Deployment
I so excited to be playing Crusade again, I completely forgot to take a picture until the bottom of turn 1. Captain Arastos, Chaplain Aximov and Squad Hektor deployed in the ruined Manufactorum on the left flank, and Librarian Xenocrates and Squad Drakon deployed in the craters in the center of my deployment zone. Both were within range of obectives.
The Tyranids deployed the Maleceptor facing off against Arastos, Aximov and Hektor, and the whole rest of the Tyranids deployed opposite Xenocrates and Drakon.
Battle
![]() |
Fists declared Assault Doctrine, and promptly charged the Von Ryan's Leapers, with the Lictor Heroically Intervening. |
![]() |
Maleceptor claiming an objective and taking cover. |
![]() |
Arastos, Aximov and Hektor poured in firepower to assist Drakon as they wiped out the Lictor and Leapers. |
Final Score
Tyranids: 40
Imperial Fists: 40
Tie game.
Summary
While the Fists were focused on killing the Tyranids, the Tyranids were focused on scoring points with their quickly dwindling forces. The Fists failes to hold their declared objective, so intent were they in glorious slaughter, that they gave up the 4 Honour Points that were at stake this game. Costly, that.
On the Tyranid side, other than the Maleceptor, everything they did seemed to bounce. Between Cover, Armour of Contempt and Take Cover they had a hard time actually hurting the Terminators. On the other side, the Terminators having Honour the Chapter, giving +1 to wound, just made bringing the big bugs down far easier for powerfists.
Overall, another game where Terminators really felt like the lore describes them, as unstoppable killing machines.
