Warzone Octarius: Pankallis Assault: Battle 26

The ongoing battle between the Admech and the Krieg continues, though things were...a bit funky.

This time we stepped up the battle to 1500 points, which would have been around 75 PL. Though, after the battle we found one of the reasons that things have been going so poorly for Krieg. It turns out the Admech points were at 1425, and I thought my Krieg was 1500 even. But the Admech was 86 PL, vs the Krieg 58 PL.

I thought points were supposed to be a more fair, more granulated way to ensure a balanced game? WTF?

Anyway, this game was a bit closer, but man, did I ever feel every single point of PL difference. And Krieg got 2 bonus CP pre-game due to the Blessings difference. Still had a blast, and the Admech are a challenging army to play against. It is definitely helping me learn how to pilot my Infantry/Artillery Krieg force since every mistake I make really hurts.

So, when I sit down to write this up, I re-tally my Krieg points total...and am stunned to find it is only 1195 points. Well. That explains so much. Being down over 200 points would make a bit of a difference. Argh!

Warzone Octarius: Pankallis Assault: Battle 25

Didn't get any pictures of this game, this is really just for me to post the game results. A brief recap...

This was a 1000 point Crusade game, using the Tempest of War cards to generate the primary mission and secondary missions.

This was a rematch, between Kreig and AdMech. The first game was so disastrous I tapped on turn 2 (with my Krieg). I later realized that by tapping, I had basically robbed my opponent of a lot of potential XP. So, this time, though I doubted the outcome would be much different, I was determined to play it through to the end.

And it was as bad as the previous game. Though last game was basically my own fault for some very poor deployment choices, this game, my dice just said...no. It was so bad, my opponent offered to let me re-roll an entire volley of shooting, because out of 14 rolls, I didn't get even one 3+. Rough.

So, Krieg tabled on turn 4 by AdMech not even using their Dogma rules. At least this game I managed to kill 4 enemy units.

On a positive note, Death Korps Marshall Keist has reached Legendary rank after only 6 battles. He has received the Crusade Relic Star of Terra for his and his troops sacrifices in the name of the Emperor.

His star shines brightly, even as he and his troops get utterly crushed by the AdMech.
