I wasn't going to publish this game, since I played it so poorly, but I figured there are lessons to be learned. I was so concerned with the damage that Havocs could inflict on my mostly infantry force that I deployed very deep in my own quarter. So deep, in fact, that it auto-lost me the game.

I am updating and expanding the city scape on my gaming table, so there is no battle report this month. But I did take a few pictures that capture what one quarter of the new table will look like.

Captain Lysander has decided that now is the time to reclaim the ULANOR system from the clutches of the greenskins! Personally leading the veterans of the 1st Company in the initial assault, he is determined to drive out the Xeno filth!

Warboss Bonekleava has other plans, however. He's just about ready to launch a new WAAAGH!, and fighting the yellow beakies will bring Orks from all over the system flocking to his banner!

First off, this was one of the most fun games I've played of 40K in recent months. In fact, I was so into the game, I stopped taking pictures after deployment, until turn 4. The game was super close, with multiple combats being decided by 1 wound! Either causing just enough wounds to kill something, or by just failing to kill something by one wound. How awesome is that? 

Many laughs were had, some Highland Park Viking Scars Scotch may have been involved, and there was carnage. On we go!

Armies:                 Orks - Goffs Kultur / Tau Empire - Tau Sept

Two armies that are literally the opposite ends of the gaming spectrum. The Orks are infantry heavy and focused on making it into assault. The Tau are vehicle heavy, and want to avoid close combat at all costs, especially with Orks.

With a Eternal War mission forcing the Tau to move, it should be an interesting match up!
