Warzone Octarius: Pankallis Assault - Phase 1 Stage 1: Battle 3

Captain Arastos, still recovering from the wounds received in his last engagement, is dispatching Terminator Chaplain Lexandro Aximov and Terminator Assault Squad Thanatos to engage and destroy the Ork menace. Equipped with Tactical Dreadnought Armour, and outfitted to take an Ork charge head on, these heroes, while heavily outnumbered, can deal death in close combat like few others are capable of.

Deployment

Jawchoppa's Blue Boyz deploy in the street, ready to race across the plaza and charge the beakies.

Ready to charge.

Employing brutal kunnin', Bonekleava overlooks the battlefield from what he thinks is the relative safety of a shattered ruin.

On the other side, Squad Thanatos checks their equipment one last time, and prepares to receive the oncoming ork charge.

Daring to meet the Goffs on their own terms.

The Goffs won the roll off, and chose to go first.

The Battle

Jawchoppa's Boyz close in steadily.

Squad Thanatos takes refuge in a shattered basilica, and Sets to Defend.

After a bellowing Waaagh!, the boyz charge, killing inflicting 8 wounds.

In return, Thanatos hacks their way deeper into the Orks,
killing 17.

Seeing an opportunity, Chaplain Aximov takes a run at Bonekleava.
After inflicting no damage on the Warboss, he is summarily downed by Da Killa Klaw.

Squad Thanatos is thinning down Jawchoppa's Boyz.

With only 4 boyz remaining, Bonekleava skirts around the fight, and
charges into the rear of Thatatos's line, smashing it completely and 
wiping out the squad.

Results

Neither Chaplain Aximov nor Thanatos failed their Out of Action test.

Summary

The Attackers (Orks and Tyranids), are surging ahead in points. Currently leading 10-3, the Orks and Tyranids are rampaging unchecked across the surface of Pankallis.

With the 1st Company not having access to Command Points in 25 PL battles, it is seriously hampering their ability to deal with the extreme assault elements they have faced so far. Tending to their wounded, the Imperial Fists may have to turn to heavier equipment in an attempt to blunt the Attackers advances.
