Vogen Crusade Battle 2

Crusade Mission - Combat Patrol - Supply Drop

Warboss Bonekleava is back in action, this time leading his boyz against a new foe, the Tau. Not a full battle report this time, but there were two great events that made me grab my camera, and I figured I might as well post them, and keep track of the Crusade happenings as well.

Coldstar Commander blasts Bonekleava with fusion
blasters for 6 damage, then finishes him off in the charge
phase with Furious Assault strat, dealing 1 MW to down
the Biggest Boss.

Jawchoppa's Skarboyz return at full strength thanks
to Unstoppable Green Tide and immediately exact
revenge by swamping and downing the Commander.

The Orks grabbed the lead in turn two, jumping out 20-10. It was 30-20 in turn 3, but with the Boyz back at full strength, the Commander dead and Painboy Bloodcuttah repeatedly tagging the 2 remaining crisis suits in assault, there was no way for the Tau to overcome the points deficit.

In turn 4, the Ork lead widened to 60-30 with the Skarboyz camping one objective, and the Nobz camping a second, and the "disappearing" objective was the one closest to the remaining Tau, meaning they wouldn't get any points in turn 5. Another win for the Boyz! They get 2 RP for winning this battle.

Coldstar Commander failed his Out of Action test, but chose to take a Devastating Blow, gaining no XP this battle.

The Crisis Suit Team was Marked for Greatness, and they scored the highest tally in Cull the Hordes, gaining them a bunch of XP. They gain a Rank, becoming Blooded, and acquire the Battle Trait Battle Tested.

Warboss Bonekleava got gunned down again, but passed his Out of Action test.

Jawchoppa's Skarboyz were Marked for Greatness again, since they did most of the work, again. Plus they scored the highest on Reaper, for 2 more XP.
