Tournament Battle 1 - Imperial Fists vs Goffs

 GT 2021 Strike Force Mission 1-1 Retrieval Mission

Starting out the tournament we have the Goff Infantry horde running headlong into the almost all Terminator list of the Imperial Fists. The lists are available on this page.

Imperial Fists win the roll off and choose to be Defender, letting them choose Deployment zone.

Neither army put anything into Reserve.

After Deployment, Goffs won the roll off, and had to go first, as they wanted to do anyway.

Devastator Doctrine is active.

Chapter Master re-rolls went on the Assault Cannon Terminators.

Litany of Hate is inspiring.

Exhortation of Rage is inspiring to the large Assault Terminators.

Goffs surge forward, immediately over-running 3 objectives
and score Stranglehold.

Imperial Fists respond, getting onto 2 objectives.

Bolter firepower removes 30 boyz off an objective.

5 man Assault Terminator Squad plows into another
Boyz mob, and scores an Oath point.

Turn 2

Goffs declare Waaagh!

Tactical Doctrine is active.

Chapter Master re-rolls went on the Assault Cannon Terminators.

Litany of Hate is inspiring.

Exhortation of rage is inspiring to the large unit of Assault Terminators.

Orange Boyz hide behind the building.

White Boyz assault the large unit of Assault Terminators, doing damage.

Zagstruk kills the Master of Sanctity and Consolidates
into the Chief Apothecary.

Warboss and Big Mek flank the small Assault Terminator
squad, but can't kill the Sergeant.

Assault Terminators Fall Back...

...and the Assault Cannon Terminators remove the White Boyz.

Relic Terminators charge and kill Zagstruk.

Assault Cannon Terminators charge the Warboss, 
but fail to kill him.

Ready for the next charge.

Goffs: 10 primary + 9 seconary = 19

Fists: 15 primary + 14 secondary = 29

Turn 3

Tactical Doctrine is active.

Chapter Master rerolls go on the Cyclone Missile Launcher Terminators.

Orange Boyz move in.

Stormboyz and Blue Boyz charge in.

Surviving Red Boyz and Orange Boyz charge in.

Warboss and Big Mek continue causing carnage.

The thin yellow line seemingly overwhelmed.

Green tidal wave surging forward.

Stormboyz take damage and some flee.

Chief Apothecary healing, and charges the Warboss, and dies.

Orange Boyz claiming the obective for one more round.

Lone Sergeant hanging on despite the numbers.

Chapter Master assaults the Big Mek, but fails to kill him,
thanks to 'Ard as Nails.

Orange Boyz use Insane Bravery to hang onto the
objective for yet another round.

Goffs: 20 primary + 15 secondary = 35 points

Fists: 20 primary + 15 secondary = 35 points

Turn 4

Warboss assaults Relic Terminators, killing 2.

Red Boyz charge into the CML Terminators.

Lone Sergeant continues to fight on.

Warboss and Relic Sergeant continue their duel.

Chapter Master and Big Mek continue their futile duel.

CML Terminators wipe out the Red Boyz.

Blue Boyz claim 2 objjecctives.

Chapter Master killed off the Big Mek, and goes to get the Warboss.

Warboss is too much for the wounded Chapter Master.

CML Terminators also claim 2 objectives.

Score

Goffs: 35 primary + 18 secondary = 53

Fists: 20 primary + 20 secndary = 40

Turn 5

Remaining Assault Cannon Terminators try to finish off
the Blue Boyz...

...but fail.

Score

Goffs: 50 primary + 24 secondary = 74 points

Fists: 30 primary + 24 secondary = 54 points

Summary

Goffs take the win in the first game. Even with the brutal firepower the Fists were able to bring to bear, it was just not enough with the new Boyz toughness of 5. Super fun game.
