Captain Darsway, of the Imperial Fists, readies his men to hold the line against the Goff menace of Warboss Bonekleava in this first clash in the Octarius warzone.
In the outskirts of the city, an Ork lander (a rok) has smashed its way to the planet surface. Determined to cleanse the xenos filth before it can get a toehold in the city, Strike Force Darsway searches for the enemy.

Meanwhile, Bonekleava and his bodyguards were just finishing up desecrating another imperial holy site when one of da boyz caught the flash of yellow down the street.

The Imperial Fists win the roll off and take first turn.
Neither side put anything into Strategic Reserve, so there were no Shadow Missions this battle.

On the Goff turn, the moved up to the other side of building, being very careful to stay out of the line of
sight of the yellow beakies, knowing how effective their bolter fusillades can be.

Librarian Ulseyus flanks Bloodcuttah, wounding the beast with a Smite. Squad Strech pours bolter fire into the oncoming Boyz mob, dropping a paltry three Boyz. Both Darsway and Ulseyus fire their pistols at the mob, but have trouble landing a solid shot amidst the ruins.
Librarian Ulseyus charges Bloodcuttah, and Captain Darsway charges Bonekleava. The beast must be slain!
Worried about the sheer lethality of allowing Bonekleava to attack first (with Brutal but Kunning and Da Killa Klaw), Darsway attacks first, landing two slashing cuts with the Burning Blade, but the Warboss does not fall.
Painboy Bloodcuttah Counter-Attacks, splitting his attacks evenly between Ulseyus and Sgt. Osrak. He deals 4W to Ulseyus, and 6W to Sgt Osrak, dropping both.
Bonekleava chuckles to himself as his flurry of snipping attacks batter the beakie Captain, but the Marine hero stands defiant, bloody but undefeated. (Seriously, Darsway made 5 of 6 4+++ saves. And then saved the extra attack as well. Stud.)
