Warzone Octarius: Pankallis Assault - Stage 1 Phase 2: Battle 21

 The 15th Siege Company, 501st Siege Battalion, 14th Siege Brigade, 2nd Krieg Siege Division (Reconstituted) has been ordered to recover yet another supply drop that has been lost in city in their area of operations.

Kriegmeister Keist leads 1st Platoon into the city, aware of reports that a Tau Farsight Enclaves force have been submitted.

The Battle

Deployment

1 Platoon has found a suitable ruin from which to
recover the supplies.

Coldstar up high, Strike Team down low, to contest
recovering the supplies.

Crisis Team eyeing the central supplies.






Turn 1

Crisi Team moving into Mont'ka position.

Strike Team claims the right objective.

2 and 3 Sections push toward the central supplies while Taking Cover.
(Truppen Valbek and Kagorik)

Truppen Horst (1 Section) is in support.

Arming the Assault tally = 1.
Mortar Team Devorr attempts tp provide suppressing fire 
on the Crisis Team, but they fail to target the unit sufficiently.






Turn 2

Farsight score 10 points.
2 and 3 Sections find themselves engaged from the right...

...from the front...

...and from the left.

Krieg scores 10 points.
Arming the Assault tally = 2.

With everyone under Take Aim, they just fail to kill
the Crisis Team. Mortar shells stripped the Drones, and 
lasguns, meltaguns and plasma pistols bounced off the
Shield Generators.






Turn 3

Tau score 10 points.
Flamers and burst cannons killed most of 1 Section, 
leaving Sgt Horst to take the assault of the crisis suit,
which he survived. The Coldstar onager gaunlet'd the Sentinel
into a pile of scrap. Again.



Krieg score 10 points.
   Arming the Assault tally = 3.
Sgt Horst gets beat down by the Crisis Shas'vre.

Kriegmeister Keist attempts to turn the tide single-handedly.
He also falls to the onager gauntlet. Heroic forlorn-hope deaths
 are starting to become his thing.






Turn 4

The supplies by the Strike Team were empty, so that objective disappeared.
Tau scored 15 points.
The Strike Team, Coldstar and Crisis suit combine to
wipe out Command  Sqd Karis and Mortar Team Devorr,
annihilating 1 Platoon.

Krieg Score 0 points.






Turn 5

Tau score 0 points.

Krieg score 0 points.






Summary

Farsight Enclaves win, 35-20.

What an ass whipping. Tau firepower is still absolutely brutal, and the drones are as much of an ass pain as ever. Krieg was able to gain some XP for Arming the Assault, and they are gaining experience at a very rapid rate.

The next set of games will be a mini-arc of Waaagh! Bonekleava attacking the 15th company, using the rules and mission from the Containment Crusade pack.
